As a Business Development & Administration Intern, you will work closely with the business development, marketing, and operations teams to support the company's commercial and administrative activities.
You will help identify potential clients and business opportunities, maintain client and prospect records, assist with proposals and presentations, coordinate meetings and events, support marketing campaigns, and ensure that administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Because the company operates in the events and marketing sector, the role may involve supporting activities before, during, and after events, including venue coordination, supplier communication, guest lists, promotional materials, registration, client follow-ups, and event reporting.
This role is suitable for a recent graduate, final-year student, or early-career professional who wants practical exposure to business development, sales, marketing, event management, customer relations, and administration.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Support
- Research potential clients, organizations, brands, and business partners.
- Identify new business opportunities through online research, networking, referrals, events, and other channels.
- Build and maintain a database of prospective clients and business contacts.
- Assist with lead generation and prospect qualification.
- Contact prospective clients through approved communication channels.
- Follow up with leads, proposals, quotations, meetings, and business opportunities.
- Assist in preparing company profiles, proposals, quotations, presentations, and pitch materials.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and follow-up activities.
- Support the team in developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.

Events & Marketing Support
- Assist with planning and coordinating corporate, promotional, networking, and other events.

Requirements
- Recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, or a related field.
- Strong interest in business development, marketing, events, sales, or administration.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of Swahili is an advantage.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable communicating with clients and other stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Ability to conduct online research and prepare basic reports.
- Ability to use email and professional communication platforms effectively.
- Willingness to learn new tools, systems, and processes.
